46 / Ascending

It is through the consistency of will and attention that the sage builds toward the goal. Using every small action in an important way, she rises to a higher level. Nothing happens automatically, but this is a positive time, and one should ascend confidently and deliberately, while maintaining a keen awareness of what she is building.

(Q) Any other advice or counsel for the body?

(A) Build on as thou hast started. Keep thine face towards the light, and the shadows will be in the background. Turn not upon those things that would become an undoing, but press onward—upward—ever! 369-9

. . . to succeed the body must press ever onward, upward, and the new construction may be met with fears, yet gives the open way and a clear understanding of those truths as are gained by the ascending of the mountain. 900-34

In the uses then to which this entity may use these forces and understanding, be not fainthearted whether from physical or financial disability. Ever pressing onward, upward, relying wholly on Him who has made the way, the path, to the everlasting, and through the will, bring to submission all those conditions that would, through selfishness or desire, destroy the better elements within self, looking to that city without foundation whose builder and maker is God. 3791-1

Then, let the entity gain that as the first the knowledge of self, and of Him who gives all good and perfect gifts, then the ever-correcting force of His purpose, as is in Him, be directed in that channel, leading then ever upward, onward, to that bright and holy land. 487-4

As there is put into activity that gained, and as self looks onward, upward, there comes the clarifying of the way in the consciousness of self. There is the growth in self. Be not weary in well-doing. 262-30

Thus may the entity, if it will but look within the heart of self, know that the study of self, the study of self’s purposes, and analyzing same in the light of the Master Jesus, may enable one to find the beauty of love, the joy of love, the joy of living in the past and in the present. But look ever upward, onward, to that new day in which all will come before the throne of grace and mercy. 3954-1
