Here is a time when forward movement is easily possible. It is a time for you to thrive in the full light of the sun. Opportunities to prosper are before you now. Attention to one’s duties and the extension of one’s spiritual path are the keys to successful usage of this opportune time. |

It is not the knowledge, then, but what one does with one’s abilities, one’s opportunities in relationships to others, that makes for the development or retardment of that individual. 1293-1 From those things given as to the experiences and application of self, it may be seen that knowledge alone does not make one wise. With the abilities to use that thou hast in hand may there come understanding. 540-1 It is well to gain that full concept that all there is in materiality is of the spirit; is of the spirit of truth, if it is constructive. They that live by the spirit, through the mental attributes of same, shall prosper in the Lord. They that live by might or main, though their days may be glamorous, find that contentment shall flee away; and those things that make for disorder, disturbance, distrust, must arise in the experience, for these are not the fruits of the spirit. For these are they: Just being kind, just being in that manner in which the fellow man is served day by day; and that the outcome of same is fellowship, patience, kindness, gentleness, brotherly love—these manifested in the experience; not by jerks and spurts but as a living example day by day, not to be seen of men alone but rather that which is done in secret shall be proclaimed from the housetops. 391-8 (Q) Will this firm be successful and prosper? (A) As has been indicated, as we find so long as there is the holding to the ideals of each, it will be successful. 877-17 In seeking to know that opportunity that is given each in the present, it is one thing to live that there may be presented to another that which will open another’s opportunity; and it is for self to recognize and use the opportunity in self’s own development. But know, as each has been called, that there will come the greater opportunity in self’s development, self’s understanding, in preparing that which is for the enlightenment of thine neighbor. 262-50 In that which has been thus far presented, each individual in its own way is finding the consciousness of opportunity. And the lessons that may be presented from such individuals may be made worthwhile in the experience of those who seek to understand opportunity from the view that has been presented, in that opportunity itself—of the spiritual activity in the experience of individuals—comes to materialization in what the individual does respecting that the individual holds as the spiritual activity of such an experience as related to its ideal. 262-51 | |
