One must leave the sanctuary of her home and put to work the principles she espouses intellectually, or her life has little meaning. It strengthens one’s faith to leave the securities of a familiar environment and face the world’s tests. Expand horizons! Preparation for such forays should include inspirational teachings of those who have preceded, as this will build both humility and confidence. |

(Q) Should I try and leave . . . [home] . . . for the summer, or next year, or both? (A) That depends upon what has been determined, or is to be determined, in self, as to the various relationships and conditions as may surround the life. As has been seen, those prospects of leaving are well—in many of those changes that may come about. Accept these; but be sure—where there has been the ideal set—to remain first true to self, and thou will not be false to any! 369-9 Hence we find the influence in Jupiter with Neptune makes for the innate expressions or desires of the entity to be a rover, a wanderer as it were—yet seeking ever an expression, or that something which is latent or "just beyond" the horizon. Such an attitude at times brings into the experience doubts and fears of others as respecting the entity’s purpose, the entity’s attitude towards the real abilities that are a portion of the entity’s experience. 2331-1 As ye apply, as ye make use of that in hand, more is given thee. For, day unto day is sufficient, if use is made thereof; not to self, not to self alone. Not that self is not to be considered, but losing self in good is the better way to find self. What is good? How is such defined in thy life—of awakening to all the possibilities that exist in thy intake of life and its phases? To do good is to think constructively, to think creatively. What is creative, what is constructive, ye may ask? That which never hinders, which never makes for the bringing of any harm to others. 1206-13 (Q) How could I bring about a more harmonious unity in my home in regard to my father and his wife, or would it be best at this time for me to leave their home? (A) There must be first the quiet or harmony in one’s own self if one would find harmony with the association with others. As we find, if we would have an alternative, not to remain away from home all the while, but portions of the time, it would be well. 1540-7 In considering the physical disturbances in the body, much more than the mere pathological conditions must be taken into consideration. While in the present this is not a mental condition, there may become such. But if proper precautions are taken and corrections made we should have an entirely new outlook on life, new abilities, new possibilities, new opportunities coming to this entity. 3392-1 | |
