12 / Frustrating Obstruction

The cooperative conjunction of the spiritual and physical has passed, and the balance of conditions tips toward the unfavorable. You are caught between the desire to move and a stagnant environment. If one has developed an inner focus through which to maintain the positive perspective, one slides through the difficulties. One should quietly maintain one’s self-esteem, avoiding temptation and the negative influences that press in.

(Q) Why are all my undertakings mostly confronted with such difficulty?

(A) Through difficulty has the entity gained much of the experiences in the past, as well as in the present. Those that overcome difficulties may wear the crown. Those that succumb to difficulties are counting themselves unworthy. Keep the faith as is being builded through the love influence, putting behind thee those things that so easily beset, looking forward to the mark of the high calling as is set in Him—through the ideals as have been set. 2141-1

Be not unmindful that there is that way which brings self the awareness of His presence, God’s presence, the Master’s presence, and the better self that has experienced—through the eons of time—those relationships to the mental things that have presented themselves as problems, conditions, experiences; but He has promised, "I will stand in thy stead" in such conditions, if ye will but put your trust, your faith, in Him; for He is the way. 274-3

While there might be much given as to that which has caused or produced the conditions, these should be rather viewed by the entity, the body [716], in this attitude: "The physical conditions that have come upon me are those most necessary for my own soul’s development." While there have been periods of antagonism and of belittling self, making for the berating of the circumstance, the conditions that have come upon self, know that these conditions have given thee the opportunity to see that in it all there has been given the privilege for others to express in their activity the true spirit of love, that creative influence that is worshiped by man as God. 716-2

(Q) How can body avoid constant restlessness and sense of frustration and uselessness? Why doesn’t her home life and her charities satisfy her?

(A) These will, when they are made one with the mental, physical and spiritual well-being; for these have been kept separated—and one as not knowing what the other did, but in the coordinating of the physical and mental and spiritual well-being, of that as may be accomplished in the home, in the charity, or in the associations socially, these should be ever with the eye single of that, "whatsoever my hands find to do, that will I do, with an eye single of showing, manifesting, living, being, my concept of the Divine." 454-1

(Q) Why do I suffer acutely at times from a sense of frustration?

(A) This is partly physical, partly the karmic and the form of the ideas in relationship to the real ideals of the entity. 2329-1
