Inn of Magic
As you trudge through an ice filled wood you look around at all of the beauty forgetting your worries, suddenly it dawns on you that night is falling fast. You look at the sky, it is dusk. You start to walk faster, you stare at your feet as you start to run, you had heard rumers about these woods but you never believed it but you had reason to be frightened. You glance up and you are amazed to see a faint glow from what appears to be a manmade light.
You continue to make your way through the snow when you reach an Inn, located deep in the woods. Alone, it looks warm and inviting. You draw closer and you hear a whinny and you look toward the barn and you see the outline of what looks like a horse standing outside of the barn and it steps into the faint glowing light from the Inn and you see it is a black, strongly built horse with a single horn spiraling from it's forhead straight to the Heavens. You hear some snorting and you look deep into the barn and you see what appears to be a huge creature, red and steaming in the cold night. As your eyes adjust to the night's fresh moon, you find that you're looking at a dragon, firey red and beautiful. You decide you had better enter as you hear a sound of crunching snow behind you.
You enter into a warm inn hastely. You are surprised by the aroma of stews, broths, meats, and wines filling you. All your worries leave briefly. You realize you are hungry. Time seemed to stand still as soon as you entered. You wonder what kind of inn you're in. You look around and you see a variety of different people here.
The Inn's first floor has a bar and tavern feel. You see many wooden tables and chairs furnished well, shining in the light from candles and fireplace. On each round table there sits one lone candle. There is a fireplace to the left with a small woven rug set before it. You move beyond the tables and you are standing at a bar. The bar has a rich red wood color and sheen to it. A woman looks at you and asks if you want to drink, eat or rent a room for the night. Not knowing what to say you nod to all 3 and she brings you beef stew, red wine in an iron goblet, and a key for a room upstairs. You say you don't know how to pay. She says it's no problem, in return for the freebee you must sign the Scroll. As you walk away, she tells you her name is Alanna, and she is the owner of the inn.
You pick a table, unoccupied and start to eat the stew, you burn your mouth. A man with long black hair and wearing a long cloak looks up and says,"Careful friend, tis the best stew you will ever have but tis hot." He smiles again. All of a sudden a little girl starts to tug at his cloak saying,"D come and help me." He stands removes his cloak and hat, letting his long black hair fall down his shoulders and he says,"Allright Chloe, I know you can't carry the stew without spilling it, I'll help you, how does that sound?"
You look around and wonder who else you will encounter in this strange inn. You look toward the fire just to see a winged creature enter and stand by the fire. This must be the creature you heard when you entered. The little girl Chloe also seeing her enter, runs to her yelling,"Kaitlyn! I missed you! Where were you?" The Winged Creature turns and you get a good look at her. She is beautiful, an Angel with Doves wings folded over her back. She tells the little girl, "I went to town to get supplies for our journey," she says.
You look toward a table far to the right and see a young man sitting alone, he is mortal. You then realize that you do not have salt at your table for your stew. You walk over to ask the young man if you can borrow the salt on his table. He looks up and says,"Of course, don't let me stop you from enjoying your dinner." Just then Alanna yells,"Excuse me sir but you forgot your drink." "Please call me Alastair," the young man says.
You look toward the stairs trying to see into the second floor when a woman tall, thin, and beautiful enters greacefully. She looks not of this world, or any world for that matter. You stare at her. She stops and looks straight at you. You feel embarassed. You look up a few seconds later to see if she is still staring at you and you are surprised to see her standing in front of you with a quizical look on her face. She asks you, "What do you stare at?" You don't know how to reply but you do, somehow, get out, that you are sorry for staring. She smiles and says that it happens all the time. Alastair looks toward you and the woman and says, "Raebeca, do you know how tomorrow will fair?" She replys, "There shall be more snow..."
As you look around you see another woman emerge from the stairwell, she is tall and carries a bow. She seems strong willed but she is very gentle with the small child. You look and are again curious. You hear the small child say to her, "Archer, will you show me how you throw a flower in the air and you catch it on an arrow?" She smiles at the child and says, "Maybe tomorrow, it's time you got to bed isn't it?" You turn away and pay attention to your stew now that it has cooled a little.
You finish your meal and you're exausted. You head up the stairs to sleep and try to understand where you are. As you go up the stairs you are knocked over by a girl carrying sheets and blankets. She stops to help you up. "I am sooooo sorry! I didn't see you coming up the stairs with all of these blankets I couldn't see. I am sorry I am the maid...for now, if you need anything just ask for Abaigeal,"she says.
When you reach your room you see a woman. She looks different from the others you have met. She has an ora of darkeness over her. A Forboading feeling comes over you. You fumble with you key to enter your room before she talks to you. You drop your key and as you go to pick it up, it lifts into the air and she holds it saying,"Do you know where I can find a hunter with a tattoo if a black snake on his face? No? well that's ok, I will find him. If you find him first tell him Rosalyn wants to speak with him.
You enter your room. It is wooden like the first floor but there is a nuge throw rug on the floor. There is a small woodstove to keep you warm. You sleep.
