Marvin the Martian first appeared in the Warner Bros. cartoon Haredevil Hare in 1948. He later stared in The Hasty Hare in 1952, Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century in 1953, Hare-Way to the Stars in 1958, Mad as a Mars Hare in 1963, Spaced Out Bunny in 1980, Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24 1/2 Century in 1981, and Bugs Bunny's Lunar Tunes in 1991. He also made appearances in an episode of Tiny Toon Adventures, Tazmania, Anamaniacs, and made his big-screen debut as the referee in the movie Space Jam in 1996. Marvin is in a 12 minute 3-D movie on the 9th floor of the Warner Bros. Studio Store in New York City, called Marvin the Martian In the 3rd Dimension. I believe it also started in 1996. He was not popular at all when he first started out, and is still not as popular as Tweety or Bugs Bunny but he is getting there...fast
