Where is Newfoundland?

Newfoundland is found on the east coast of Canada. It is Canada's newest province. It became a part of Canada in 1949. The capital is St. John's.Fewer people live in Newfoundland than any other province in Canada except for Prince Edward Island. Most of the land is rugged, especially along the rocky coast. Thick forests grow along the tumbling rivers and around the sparkling blue lakes. Fog often covers the coast, and storms occur frequently.You can see Newfoundland on the map below.
