FRONTENAC FLYERS JUNIOR HOCKEY At the time of this writing the Flyers will have played two more exhibition games. The first exhibition game was against the Amherstview Jets and Jets won 4-1. The Flyers coaching staff was quite pleased with the effort. The Jets basically played their full team and this would have been their fourth game it was expected they would be ready. The Flyers sat out six veteran players giving players that had been trying out for the team a chance to show their skills. Again at the time of this writing the Flyers still have four goalies in camp. Hopefully these past two exhibition games give Ryan and his staff time to determine who will be on the team. So far all have shown they are capable of playing at this level. The first regular season game will be at home this Sunday afternoon against arch rival Napanee Raiders, word has it they have recruited a very strong team again this year. This year the excutive are giving the fans and parents a opportunity to buy season tickets and save over thirty dollars. Plan on purchasing your season pass at the first game to get full benfit of this savings. With the twenty-five year celebration of our arena this year the Flyers alumni team will be taking on a alumni team from the Ottawa Senators on October 21st. This should be exciting to watch Brad Marsh and company taking on the best of the Flyers who have retired from the Junior ranks. It may be a touch slower, but you can be sure the skills will still be there. Much more to come on who is playing and the exact time. Again, remember the first regular season game will be on September 30th Sunday at 3.15pm. See you at the arena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
