FRONTENAC FLYERS JUNIOR HOCKEY The Flyers are starting to play like the coaching staff have been wanting and expecting all fall. The game against the Brockville Tikis was exciting hockey and was a tough 3-2 loss only great goaltending by the Tikis kept the Flyers out of the win column. This past Wednesday on Halloween the Flyers went trick or treating in Gananoque and won 5-3 again a very exciting game and good goaltending by Rob Laurin made the difference. The Flyers just signed a new defenceman and played him a few shifts on Wednesday as he has been out of hockey for a year. Will have more information hopefully next report. The few shifts he did play you could tell he had played at a high level. I wish I had more information for this article, but I don't. There is no question the Flyers have a few hole to fill hopefully this new player can fill one of them. This Sunday the Gananoque Islanders will be coming to North Frontenac to avenge their loss last Wednesday. They will be tougher no question as they had a couple players missing the last game. The Flyers will have have everyone back by then and should be ready to give them a good game. If you haven't been to a Flyer game recently this on would be a good one to make a appearance. If it is anything like last Wenesday it will be a fast hard hitting clean hockey game. I will not be doing a writeup next week as will be spending a much needed time of meditation at a hunting camp on Ardoch road. Will hopefully be coming home in two weeks in a better frame of mind and find the Flyers are on a winning streak. Reminder this Sunday at 3.15pm Gananoque Islanders at North Frontenac. See you at the arena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
