FRONTENAC FLYERS JUNIOR HOCKEY Well the Flyers have cerainly feasted on the Rideau League teams this past week winning three games in a row. The Brockville Tikis game in Brockville was the best as they are the cream of that league and beating them in overtime in their own arena was a great start. Again, Corey Thompson led the Flyers with two goals, one being the overtime winner. The other goals came from Ryan Everarrs, Matt Lowe final score was 4-3 for the Flyers. The game in South Grenville was a closer game than it should have been and the overage players came through scoring all of the goals Matt Lowe 2, Mike Thompson 1 and the game ended 3-1 for the Flyers. This past Sunday the Westport Rideaus were the dessert for the successful week of hockey. After Rideaus complained to the OHA of the rough play of the Flyers the OHA big wheels where all present to observe the game. The one nice thing about it they now know where the arena is and they left shaking their heads. They said it is good thing these two leagues don't play in western Ontario if the teams down here think the game on Sunday was rough. Scoring for the Flyers Mike Thompson, Nick Kirkpatrick, Derek Mack, again in overtime Cory Thompson. Cory has scored numerous winning goals, but none were more sweeter than this one. Remember this Saturday the Flyers have a free public skate with the jolly fellow with a red suit and the Flyer players. I understand the Flyers have hats to hand out and players will be prepared to autograph them. I also understand Santa will also be bringing goodies. This Sunday December 23rd 3.15pm Amherstview Jets will be in North Frontenac. Then Sunday December 30th 3.15pm the Frontenac Flyers will be at North Frontenac The Flyers excutitive and players want to wish all their fans a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
