FRONTENAC FLYERS JUNIOR HOCKEY T
he Flyers learned on Sunday you have to be ready to play a full sixty minutes if you want to continue winning in this league, unfortunately they went from third place to the basement and only lost one game. The final score was 7 to 6 for the Pirates, scoring for the Flyers Derek Mack 3, Ryan Everaar 2, Mike Thompson 1, Paul Amedo had four assists. Fans had hardly got seated and the Flyers were down three goals. Pirates have been on a winning streak and showed why with a very strong work ethic from the first drop of the puck. To be fair the Flyers have had a very light schedule and it showed they need to get back to playing two or three games a week. Starting this week the Flyers have a much tougher schedule with a game in Westport on Friday and then home on Sunday against Campbellford. The Flyers have several games in hand on the other teams in the league if they can win them they will get back to where they were a week ago. Jamie's phone has been ringing daily with managers from other teams wanting to make a trade. There has been some very interesting offers, but Jamie and Ryan are sticking with the guys they have for now. I expect there will be some trade announcements among other teams in our league shortly both Raiders and Jets are looking for goaltending and the Voyageurs are as well. Remember this Sunday December 9th, 3.15pm Campbellford Rebels at North Frontenac. See you at the arena!!!!!!!!
