On October 10th 2002, I went to visit a friend at Seton Hill University. Her name was Shannon. I went with only the intention that Shannon and I were to hang out. Shannon decided that we should meet her friend Katie at 8:30 because she can get free movies where she works. So we did. When I met her I had that wierd butterfly feeling. The one where your stomach bounces around and you can't breathe right and your heart beats really fast....yeah that was me. I could only hope she felt the same. We then journeyed ot to the Video store and met Shannons boyfriend Ed. This sorta left Katie and I alone. We discussed how being lonely sucks and when you see two other people so much is love when you are single it can make you sick. When we were driving down the road, after leaving Ed, Shannon hit the curb and we got a flat tire. Now to me this was no big deal, but to the girls you would have thought that it was the end of the world. During the tire fixing my cell phone rang and it was my friend Brian from CO. He asked what I was up to and I preceded to tell him that I may have just met the girl of my dreams.

After the tire was fixed it was explained to me that if we went back to the school then I would have to leave. Thus we went to Denny's. With a few smooth operations on my behalf I not only managed to sit by Katie, I also got her to hold hands with me.

We traveled back to my car thereafter and sadly enough it was evident that we had to part. Looking at Shannon for a sort of sign on what to do I gathered that I was on my own. So I pulled Katie towards me, thanked her for the night, expressed my pleasure in meeting her, and pulled her chin up slowly for a gentle kiss. As I drove down the hill slowly I knew that this would be the beginning of something great.
