The purpose of the Lame Duck Awards, you ask of me? Well...to make a bad title out of an inappropriate word, thus further retarding the population? Lame duck means a politician that stays after the end of his/her term, I think. At least, that's what the dictionary says (you can't trust those dangable things these days). So, um, what does that have to do with anything? Well, I came up with the name before I looked it up » I guess it's just me doing something with all my knowledge long after I should've moved on - or, at least, to another character! Other than that, it's an awards ... thing that is going past all the other ... awards things. Ri-i-i-ght.
     Anyway, as long as you're reading this..I feel like awards suck. They really do sometimes » most of the time, good roleplayers are overlooked (and NO, I'm not talking about ME - I'm not that good at all! %-) ), and chain e-mails are bound to happen. I gave it up so long ago because I was very, VERY pissed off at having to do most of it alone (but now I have an e-mail filter that will make me very very HAPPY). However, that will never change; it is ultimately the people who decide the outcome of any awards, and it is ultimately the people that determine whether or not they will suck.
     As they say, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Ignoring the fact that the only thing you win is bragging rights, I'm going to nominate personal faves of mine so everyone knows what I voted for and why. The best thing about having so many categories in this case is that you don't have to vote for everything, just anything!
     Anything else? Well, after these awards, I may or may not be officially removed from RP; I may start a new character, I may not. Depends on what I see in the next few weeks! It's just that Estishia, the current one, is maliciously attacked and pulled into plots every which way (and I will soon have a link up expalaining the whole story of the 3 Estishia), and is otherwise a pawn. If she's not either of these, she's ignored. And that pisses me off, no matter how much it happens to someone else (and it DOES happen to EVERYBODY at some time or another - but this character is WAY too old). But with bad news, there is good news: I am currently accepting character requests for specific storylines, and I might not stop playing Estishia (you'll just have to request it!). I'm not sure who quipped it - Sorrow or Ally - but I think one of them said something akin to this when they replied to my mean-streak post: "It's time to drop that character and move on." I really don't know..I'm probably just chasing myself in circles.
     If you feel like talking to me about any of these things, DON'T e-mail the awards. Instead, e-mail estishia@hotmail.com about it. I need more stuff in my mailbox.
