From the hands of Estishia's player and people like YOU...
For those who have heard of the Awards That Bombed
(more on that later..) or the Bad Essays comes
something even worse...

I hereby present..

The LAME DUCK AWARDS!!!

Yup. It's a lame picture, too. Anyway, if you want to find out the PURPOSE of this, just click "Purpose" on the toolbar. That's why it's there. But anyway, here are the rules..

RULES + EXPLANATION:
  1. THIS PAGE IS BEST VIEWED WITH A FULL WINDOW. This is how the page was designed, and you'll have the best time if you use a maximized window.
  2. The toolbar will help you to the categories, where items are located. I used frames for a reason - to maximize efficiency. I am currently working on a non-frames alternative.
  3. I am currently acccepting nominations. I will accept nominations by E-MAIL ONLY until Monday, September 10th. Then I will only accept votes until Monday, September 17th. This is to prevent me from a swarm of people contacting me in private, though I will make the occasional exception, depending on how much you nag me. I know that I will have less nominations because of this, but better less popularity than less sanity.
  4. Try to make your nominations/votes as clear as possible. The last time I tried something like this (last year, actually), too many typos. If I can't read them, I'll scrap 'em. I'm not trying to be mean, really, as much as I'm trying to save myself a lot of pain.
  5. CLEARLY make out what category you're nominating/voting in within the message subject line when you e-mail me so my e-mail filter can sort it out. and either "Vote" or "Nomination" in the subject line is ALL you need for a valid nomination/vote (Styles is optional and will not be checked by my filter). Nomination implies that I'm accepting nominations, and e-mailing me with a vote is voting for someone already nominated.
  6. You do NOT have to nominate/vote for EVERY item in a category. That is not required, but it is encouraged.
  7. More on submitting e-mail: you must provide at least ONE character you play. An OOC alias is optional, because I know some people prefer to be known by their characters and not by their first name. These will be checked around with a few people I know that have been around for a bit so I can check validity of the e-mail.
  8. And chain e-mails? If I see two e-mails looking exactly the same, I will reply with a request for a resubmission. I don't know why you'd want to, anyway, except for complying with the norm and pulpifying your brain(and I know that is probably not a word). It's not like you get much if these characters win..
  9. You only get ONE nomination/vote per item, and a nomination also counts as a single vote. Anyone already nominated implies that it has a vote in its banks. Those who have already nominated other individuals can only vote in the votes-only week if they are voting in a category they didn't nominate anyone in, since a nomination counts as a vote, as stated above.
  10. Be nice. Don't go e-mailing me on why this person or that should not be on the list if I explain why I nominated this person. We have a "Most Undeserved" category for that. Besides, most of MY nominations are MY opinions and might even be explained. Those nominations will be in bold, except for a negative category; I do NOT want my arse beaten.
  11. I have already recieved suggestions for categories/nominations for these awards, and I, player of Estishia, only have one vote per item. Just to tell ya.
  12. Don't e-mail about my grammatical/spelling errors unless it's a character name. If you want to e-mail someone about that kind of crap, check out this site.
  13. If you have a question about these awards, the processes, or a valid correction, use Question in the header when you e-mail me, or click here to automatically e-mail me with "Question" as the default subject.
  14. Send all nominations, votes, and questions to lameduckawards@hotmail.com. Friendly "Vote!" buttons located at the bottom within the separate categories will use the default e-mail thingy and put the correct subject header in. If you have an updated version of IE, you can even set it to work with your Hotmail account, if you have one! Just go to Tools, then Internet Options; click on the Programs tab and choose "Hotmail" as your e-mail Program.
