DRIVING
AND SMOKING BANS IN EFFECT
After discussion with the Kime
family, we need to reinstate a driving and smoking ban on the Snake Falls
Ranch. Fire danger has increased
and care must be taken. Driving is
allowed only in the cabin and camping area and behind the Kime ranch
house. The river can be accessed
below the dam through the dam driveway, but only after getting permission from
Steve. Smoking is allowed only in
the cabin area, in your vehicle, or in the water. These restrictions will be in place until further notice.
CABIN
RENTAL CALENDAR
The cabin reservation schedule is
improving and is likely to be your best bet for checking cabin
availability. Kris is now able to
update the calendar as often as changes are made. You can now check the calendar to see what cabins will be available
and who will be there. Members are
encouraged to make reservations by sending a message to sfsc@inebraska.com
ATTENTION:
Everyone who is at SFSC MUST follow these guidelines regarding:
WHIRLING DISEASE
PLEASE NOTE: Whirling Disease is caused by a protozoan that infests small trout and causes a very high mortality. This problem is effecting streams throughout the west. The actual organism is relatively fragile and can be killed by soaking equipment in diluted chlorine bleach solution. More importantly, the spoors of this organism can remain viable for years in dried mud or vegetable matter.
Please make sure your waders,
wading shoes, creels, and other equipment are clean and free of any
contamination BEFORE getting into the Snake, especially if you have been
fishing in the Rockies! Information regarding Whirling Disease is posted
in every cabin!
DO NOT LITTER!
Of course, we ALL know to NOT litter! If you do see litter anywhere during your stay, please pick it up and place it in the dumpster. Your environment thanks you and so does the SFSC!
Other items to please take notice:
Needed: Microwaves, couches, recliners and end tables. Check your basements.
Check-out time is 1:00 p.m.--please cooperate for everyone concerned!
Please remember to remove ALL garbage, TIE the bags, and place in the dumpster!
Members are leaving dirty dishes in the cabins--this is NOT acceptable!
ALL members need to let Steve or Kris know when you are on the ranch. Their phone number is 402-376-2799 and Steve’s cell number is 402-376-5511.
