- Participants will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- No team is reserved or guaranteed a place in the tournament until registration is confirmed by KASS through e-mail or phone.
- A complete registration form and the full registration fee is required for confirmation.
- Participants must be college students or graduates.
- All players must be of an amateur level, without experience on a collegiate basketball team.
- Smith College and KASS reserve the right to eliminate any teams or players from the tournament based on behavioral misconduct on or off the court.
- Inappropriate behavior of a player towards tournament staff, other participants, or Smith College students and facilities will not be tolerated.
- All players will be required to sign a Release Form and an Agreement of Compliance to the Rules at Check-In.
- Failure of a team to show at Check-in or games will be regarded as forfeit.
- All participating players must be registered by 12PM Friday, October 28th.
- A single player can only be registered to play on one team.
- A minimum of 5 players must be registered to constitute a team.
- A maximum of 3 substitute/alternate players may also be registered in addition to the required 5 starting players per team.
- The 5 players registered as starting players will be the ones to play at the first preliminary game.
- All participating players must attend Check-in from 3PM to 4PM on Friday, November 18 at Smith College Campus Center 103/104.
- In order for a substitute/alternate player to participate in a game, they must have attended all previous games played by their team in full. This rule will only be disregarded in the event that a player is lost through injury or elimination.
- Playing rules will be enforced by and according to the interpretations of the referees.
- Any teams/players being housed at Smith College or by a Smith College student will be expected to abide by Smith College house (dorm) guest rules.
- Any teams/players in need of lodging but not requesting housing at Smith College will be expected to arrange for their own accommodations and transportation.
- The registration fee is not refundable at any time.
