American Literature- Week of: April 19th-23rd


Monday-

  • Objective: Students quiz understanding of conflict
  • Method: students take written quiz over part II. When finish quiz begin reading Part III ch 1-2
  • Assesment: quiz scores will measure understanding
  • Assignment: part III ch 1-2
  • Standard:

    Tuesday-

  • Objective: students will begin to draw conclusion to plot.
  • Method: discuss part III ch 1-2 and any similar occurrences in today’s society.
  • Assesment: students discussion will measure correlation b/t today and the novel.
  • Assignment: rest of novel
  • Standard:

    Wednesday-

  • Objective: students draw conclusion to plot/conflict.
  • Method: students will have class time to read last part of novel – it is lengthy.
  • Assesment:
  • Assignment: novel must be finished Thursday and test Friday.
  • Standard:

    Thursday-

  • Objective: students will verbally explore resolution of conflict and aspects of “Big Brother is watching you.”
  • Method: discuss rest of novel and how some actions may apply to today’s society.
  • Assesment: students discussion will measure if read and understanding of Big Brother concept
