Colonel's Bequest is an adventure game published by Sierra On-Line back in 1989. Written by Roberta Williams, author of the 1995 hit Phantasmagoria, this game is simply the best murder mystery ever seen on a home computer.
This site is completely dedicated to The Colonel's Bequest.
It was created because I felt that far too many people never heard of it
before. My hope is that this site will introduce CB to new players,
so that they will also have the chance to enjoy this game.
Sure, there are a lot of adventure/horror games today. But none of them even come close to the quality of The Colonel's Bequest. The story is so rich and there are also so many ways to solve it, that you surely don't want to miss this!
And the good news is that this oldie was re-released not too long ago
on the Roberta Williams Anthology. Unfortunately, this package is
only available for a limited period of time, so if you're interested in
CB, hurry! (I heard from Sierra UK
a couple of years back that it was also re-released on the Kixx Budget
label back in 1994)
