The initiative to form the Foundation was taken in consultation with the people
who presently live at Kloosterstraat 9 and several former members of the Resistance. The
Committee for Recommendation comprises of magistrates, profession of notary, members of
trade and industry and the Armed Forces,
THE INITIATORS
The Foundation's goal is to keep the memory of the War and the Resistance in Assen and northern Drenthe alive as well as inform and educate the people on the dangers of totalitarianism and fascism.

Members regularly receive the Newsletter "Museumnieuws - Museum News," in which you will be kept informed regarding the activities of the museum and other matters pertaining to the Foundation.
