SANCTUM SANCTORUM

With footsteps soft to your temple I come

No bells do I ring and my feet I wash not

I have no vermilion on my forehead smeared

I come as naked as the day I was born

No notions I hold nor grudges I bring

I have no materialistic offering

I give you just my empty thoughts

And the heart of a little child

I see not you an idol

Yet I idolize your love

I look not upon you as God

Yet I live by your godliness

And I bring with me a plea

As long as I live I wish not to be free

Let your umbilical join me forever

The innocent child dies never.
