FALLEN It did drop all the way down From the heavens above to the much trodden ground It might be missed in some galaxy afar From my point of view ‘twas just a falling star
With hurried steps and a quick breath I navigated the moonlit woods with stealth Soon came I upon a hollow carved A sight for human eyes so starved
A kaleidoscope of colours profound Danced vividly upon the star-kissed ground Patterns intricate they deftly did weave Shapes and motions beyond mortal belief
Stood I transfixed in a stupor serene Colours sprouting a defying sheen And in the myriad rainbow I heard A soft voice whispering word after word
It touched my emotion holding me still It dissolved my fear and strengthened my will And in this welcome vortex where water-colours burnt An untold secret that night I learnt
For the voice said “ I do not come from far you see” “Neither am I a suspenseful mystery” “I live very close and am known only to few” “I am the very air around you”
“I sleep with your dreams at night” “I drink your anger when you do fight” “I even swallow your running tears” “I have with me the destiny of years”
“I cannot be lost yet I am never found” “In the multitude of existence do I abound” “I am that which holds the ground” “I even painted the sun so round”
“I am in everyone and everything” “I have no beginning nor an ending” “I wish to tell you that you then are THE Deity” “And love is the beauty of Spontaneity”
The heavens silent and the dancing lights asleep In the skies the majestic dawn did creep And as I made my way to home I realized that I wasn’t alone
All I had to do was reach out and touch The faith in belief an indomitable crutch The error lies not in those that be It is these eyes which refuse to see. ~Vikram C~
