Cupid's Anthem

I did not knock and enter

I will not ask and leave

I never was a pretender

Neither am I a thief.

I know not any laws

Nor walls which keep me out

My eyes see no flaws

And I never have a doubt .

  I spread my wings the world around

I reach beyond the stars

In every breath do I abound

And fill up all the scars.

I smile on faces a toothy grin

I dance in eyes a waltz

More of me is not a sin

I am more cherished than quartz.

I perch atop the highest tree

I fly over snow laden peaks

I am that which sets you free

And always am for keeps.

I laugh till I cry

And never leave your hand

I am but the reason why

In adversity you can stand.

I am your soft pillow

And also your warm quilt

I am the wind in the willow

And the life giving silt.

I have no shape to seek

Save what you want to see

I have no reason to make you weak

For what you want to be.

I shoot no arrows or darts

I just let life flow

I play no roles nor parts

For weeds I cannot sow.

I am not a myth

I am but all that is true

A mellow reality with

 He who lives in you.
