Radiohead have confirmed their appearance at the Meltdown Festival at London's Royal Festival Hall on July 1, presented by Scott Walker, the legendary sixties singer. Tickets are £20, but I've heard that they sold out within 20 minutes.

Thom Yorke says the band won't play any large venues this summer. The long awaited album is hopefully going to be released in September.

The first shortlist of sixteen songs features "Cuttooth", "Egyptian Song", "Dollars and Cents", "Everyone (The National Anthem)", "Follow Me Around", "How To Disappear Completely And Never To Be Found", "I Will", "Keep The Wolf From The Door", "Kinetic", "Knives Out", "Lost At Sea (In Limbo)", "Morning Bell", "Motion Picture Soundtrack", "Optimistic", "True Love Waits" and "You And Whose Army".

The follow-up to Radiohead's "OK Computer", is likely to be released in June. Radiohead are currently finishing recording the new album at their own Oxford studio, after long sessions and many re-recordings of songs.

The band are working with the "OK Computer" producer Nigel Godrich again.

The songs that are likely to be on the album include "Egyptian Song", "Follow Me Around", "Cuttooth", "Keep The Wolf From The Door", "You And Whose Army", "I Will", "How To Disappear", "Optimistic" and "Lost At Sea".

There are no plans of touring yet. There are a lot of rumours about them playing Glastonbury Festival, but nothing has been confirmed.
