National Forensic League

The Saint James Speech and Debate Team (an academic activity) is part of The National Forensic League (NFL), which focuses on perfecting the skill of effective (and superior) communication. Examples of the events performed by the students are: Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Cross Examination Debate, Student Congress, Extemporaneous Speaking, Humorous/Dramatic Interpretation, "Duo", Prose/Poetry, Original Oratory, Impromptu, Declamation, etc. Not only do students enhance their public speaking skills, they also have a chance to meet others with similar interests.
