I've been riding for some 37 years now. I have always loved motorcycles. PERIOD! Whether it was my first ride--a Cushman scooter--a Goldwing, motocrosser or a Harley. I just like the feel of my butt on the seat of a two wheeler. The anticipation of a ride--if it be down a paved road or ripping across the sand of a river bottom. I like every aspect of biking. I guess you could say I eat motorcycles for breakfast. My Sunday-go-to-meetin' bike is a '97 Shadow Spirit and my daily ride is a KZ 1000 chopper.

My wife and I try to make all the poker runs and ABATE rallies we can (she rides her own bike--a 700 Shadow). We do Sturgis every year. We try to ride with friends as often as possible. We have 3 kids with families that all ride--so you can see bikes run deep in this family.

Ever since high school in the late 60s I've wanted a righteous chopper, but with raising a family and all it was impossible. About 12 years ago I decided it was time for my chopper. Well, lo and behold--no-one made rigid frames and springer front ends except for a Harley. That was a little bit out of my price range. So I started building my own frames and front ends. By trial and error I came up with a classy ride that was affordable.
