Blind emotion
What is this emotion But a window, darkened so Allowing others to see But blinding you to yourself While others see you clearly You are barely hanging on To a glimpse of what emotion You are wearing Others see the things you show All your secrets trickle down From your mind onto The blank sheet of your face Your countenance tells all Blind emotion has no secrets And you cannot guard the world From what you feel And there is no escaping From emotions that you hide For displaying them Will only make them real.
