Float away troubles

Sometimes I go walking
Or run away from pain
I try to shed my troubles
Like little drops of rain
I shout out loud at nothing
Far away and so alone
It helps to put behind me
The helplessness I've known
I struggle to keep smiling
I try so hard to win
To let it all slip by me
All the trouble I am in
So I sit and watch the river
The water rushing past
And pretend that all my troubles
Are floating on at last.
