Lovers Rock is a
genre of Reggae music, indigenous to the UK, which has won world-wide
acclaim. In the mid-seventies, Bob Marley opened the doors of the pop-world
to Jamaica’s infectious Reggae rhythms. By the end of the decade, Lovers
Rock had firmly cemented the relationship, establishing British-born
West-Indians as a reckoning force among Reggae musicians, singers, and
Dee-Jays internationally. |

The Ramdance sessions were recorded
directly from the pre-amp, allowing the maximum quality
available for DJ recorded music.
** This is Lovers Rock
is the only CD in the Ramdance Series which does not
feature an open mic.
This means there is no background crowd
ambience or MC Talkover (only Sound System
identification). This allows the CD to be enjoyed while
alone or played at a party or gathering as the main
source of music. These CDs were recorded to play
continuously. For your convenience, the tracks have been
split to allow access to individual songs (thanks
Wesley). These sessions have been professionally remixed
and digitally mastered to meet, or exceed, today's
standards for digital, 16bit, high-quality CD sound.
