Stories related to the Ancestors of John Hoopes

For years I, John Lamro Hoopes, was interested in searching for names of my ancestors, documenting them, and doing the temple work for them. But, names got harder and harder to find, and so, while I have not stopped researching names, I have found a new hobby. I now enjoy reading about the lives of my ancestors, those people who I once thought of as just names. I read whatever I can find on them, but, often there is a lot written. For the sake of allowing others (mostly my children and grandchildren) to have a brief knowledge of these people and happenings I write condensed versions of what I know, most of them not over two pages, and thus have compiled a library of short stories written on various genealogical topics.

So, I have decided to share this information with more than just the people I know personally using the Internet. It boggles the mind how communication has advanced in my lifetime, from smoke signals and carrier pigions in my youth, to the World Wide Web. I now have the capability to share everything I know with anyone who wants to know it.

I will stop with my explaining and simply move on to the stories. While most of the texts written just about certain ancestors, some are about events in which my ancestors had a part, and some are even historical fiction. Anyway, here is the list of titles and brief explanations, but, like I said, none of them are very long and so you can just read them to find out what they are about.
