SAL SALANGSANG : Sea World

Sal

I'm sure that everyone who has ever laid eyes on the fab and wonderful maintenance man has fallen in love with him instantly. But have you ever wondered where he got his start? Well, wonder no more cause we got the info on "Sal the early years".
Sal at Sea World We actually met Sal when he was starting his career as the mime in the Sea Lion, Walrus and Otter show at Sea World of Texas. That was 11 years ago.

The mime he played was a guy who said everything with humor. As he interacted with the audience and spooked out a few of them, he made people laugh. He did everything from bringing people up in front of everyone and embarrassing them to doing the classic mime thing. He brought smiles to people's faces as well as keeping them from being bored before the show started. Instantly liking this mime was impossible to resist.

Sal stayed with Sea World for a good many years but his character seemed to evolve over night. When Spooky Kooky Castle left Sea World, so did the adorable mime. But what people didn't know was that in place of that mime was a maintenance man for the show. A smart aleck who didn't listen to the boss. People who watched this guy goofing around and getting into all sorts of trouble were laughing so hard their bellies hurt. Sal
Sal the Maintenance Man From when he hung from a wall to when he wrestled with a hose, no one could stop their laughing. Sal has always had the gift of laughter and he really shared the gift with all! And he also has the muscles to do amazing stunts that kept people in awe. That was the birth of the maintenance man who appears nightly before the MGM Grand's show "EFX". There have been some changes over time but in all his character is as funny as ever!
Also, as Sal became a more and more popular character at Sea World, his part grew. Soon he wasn't only doing the pre-show for the Sea Lion Stadium but he was also a pirate in "The Pirates of Piniped". He got to start the show and hey, who can resist saying he looks good in a pirate costume! The evening shows had a different preshow than the daytime shows, and Sal did his usual fantastic job in every role he played. Sal the Pirate
