Bless me father for I have sneezed

Bless me father for I have sneezed. It has been 2 weeks since I’ve had this cold. As I lie decaying but not deceased All my sins shall be told I’m the kind of person who sterilises their teaspoon In other peoples’ cups of coffee. I can walk into a room And find some fault in everybody I stand alone in circles of friends While chatter overtakes my head I stand alone and just pretend To have understood what they have said I nick post-its and pens from my desk at work For what reason I do not know Now in my kitchen they sit and lurk For they cannot be put on show I killed an ant the other day Just stamped it with my foot “Don’t kill me,” I heard it say But it soon met with my stilettoed boot I ask for absolution from my Lemsip And the paracetamol I downed I really hate being sick It makes me think of the bad things I’ve done.
