Another night of dreaming last night. I'm really not used to this dreaming lark. It's really quite scary when you look at a pair of earings and think. I dreamt about these last night. Why? Then I can't remember why, so I pick another pair out to wear just in case the dangley gold and pink ones from Richards shop are jinxed. And then my velvet trousers triggered another one. I was wearing these to go up a mountain to go see my parents. But I'd got to the ski lift and realised I didn't have my goggles. Went back into the room I was staying in and was in the dilemma whether I should take my sunglasses instead or goggles, especially seeing as goggles really wouldn't go with my black velvet trousers. There were around 4 or 5 blokes in my room and I can't remember who any of them were, but I think I knew them. And the rest has just faded away. But why wasn't I skiing?

I was really knarled at myself on my way into work. On Simon Mayo's radio show on Radio 1, they play songs from what seems like yonks ago to young people and only yesterday to people like me. As you can tell that I can't remember what that section of the show s called. I keep wanting to call it the golden years. It's the one where he keeps saying "But what was the year?" Anyway, he also plays this clip from a film or something. Anyway, todays started with something about a pepper and I immediately thought St Elmo's fire. The "Doesn't Alec not like Peppers" and I named the actors as Ally Sheedy and Andrew McCarthy. Then they played it again and I actually listened. It was actually the "I'm not a pepper" quote from Reality Bites. OK, so I got it eventually, but I really shouldn't mix up my pepper quotes!!!

My dad said that I wouldn't be able to get decoarting my bedroom in this weekend, cos it would take a long time to re-decoarate all of upstairs, and it might as well all be done at once! So I was free, I figured I would go see China Drum in concert instead. I had seen it advertised on Virgin Net and was kind of down that I wouldn't get to go, so it was like Yaaay!! So I phoned up for tickets. Turns out that Virgin Net had got it wrong. The concert for Saturday at Liverpool was actually for China Crisis. So I had a China Drum Crisis for a bit. Wrote an email of complaint to the people selling the tickets, saying it wasn't really their fault, but there was no email address to complain to for Virgin Net.

So now my weekend is a bit freer. My parents are having a party next weekend, so I guess I'd better help out in the organising.

Work's picked up a bit today. Tony has handed me one of his projects which he hasn't had time to chase up. Looks very messy. That should keep me busy. I'm seeing Steve2 tonight. Steve2 is my lecturer/friend. Sounds like he's been having a rough time recently. Time to catch up on the chat and gossip. And he's probably going to be moving house soon. Arrrhhhgghh what am I going to do without my person to moan at? Well, he moans back, so it's a kind of symbiotic relationship. I can't remember if that was the word I was after. It's been a long time since I have done biology and symbiotic relationships. Hope he doesn't move too far away.

Back to the wonderful world of publishing. It's just nothing like The Last Days of Disco!!
