Things are getting a bit mad around here now - I'm taking on loads of Java books now aswell as my Markup Language books, and we've got to chair 2 meetings every 3rd week and our spreadsheets are going to be mingling with finance's in a couple of weeks time - we're getting training on it tomorrow, and ... and I have a white bunny with floppy ears and a blue nose and DATA COPY written across it's stomache on my desk. The 'and's? Been reading too much American Psycho.
It's Suran's 21st on Saturday - he's having a party at our house. I asked mum to put his slightly more mature work mates up in my room, cos I know what guys are like at Uni. I'll probably come into my room and find cress growing in the carpet.
The weekend was cool. Didn't tell you did I? Saw David and the lads at the pub (post Beer Fest) - good to see them all again. We're really getting old though. We used to be able to Beer Fest and then stay in the pub till closing time. Now, we're eating around 6pm, and colapsing in the pub by 9pm - sad eh? I got my Birtday pressies off David - Adam Ant's Best of and Bare Naked Ladies CDs - cool.
Went to see Dave on Sunday - he's got some stomache bug. So I stayed for 3 or 4 episodes of Sabrina and then let him go back to sleep.
I went for an aerobics class on Monday night in Coventry - it was really wierd having an aerobics class with 3 blokes in - gives you something to look at while exercising - they're probably only there for the 16 year old waifs anyway.
3 days without chocolate - ahhhhhh - I have a box of chocolate fingers in my drawer and I've been very good. Why do I have chocy fingers in my drawer? They're very good for persuading people to come to meetings to discuss a new Project Management database, which they really don't want anyway.
Steve2 graduated yesterday. Went out for a celebration meal with him and his son Ashley at an Indian in Cov. It was really wierd seeing him in a suit - he never wears them anymore. His outfit about 10 years ago would have cost £6-7K - why is it blokes can get away with wearing the same outfit loads of times? Did I tell you I ordered a great PVC skirt and crushed velvet lace up top? Well, I have - must stop compulsive internet shopping.
I went and got AA cover for my car on the internet today. I'm still waiting for the Twin Peaks video box set that I may or may not have ordered for Suran's birthday (well he knows really, I don't think it would come as much of a surprise, seeing as that's what he wanted).
I have several clothing dilemmas coming up - one of them being Suran's birthday, then the Wrox Conference next week and then my Latin American dancing exam - they just don't do little black dresses that are little enough to show enough leg to pass my exam these days!!
I'm trying to organise a get together for the people on my Uni course - pissup and brewery come to mind when I think about me organising things. Got one definate, provided he doesn't have an exam that day.
Mum and Dad are off to Sri Lanka at the end of this month. I'm considering whether to wear a sari for the New Year party. If they see one whilst on their rush through the relatives visit I've asked them to get it.
Everyone's off to the pub to watch the footie. I've got Latin American dancing at 7.30, so I'll leave in a bit too.
I'll be back....soon - maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life - ...stop with the quotes already.
