Pappy Penguin traveled outside today for the first time in many years.  He decided to sit on top of the trash bin to watch the neighbor kids setting of fireworks in the yard across the street.

Here we see Pappy holding a firecracker to his chest. I warned him to leave those things alone but he wanted to check one out.

Oh shit! It wasn't a dud! It seems to have blown a ragged hole through his skin but fortunately for him it didn't rupture his bean sack!

Oh no. Now he's trying to sneak off with two more firecrackers stuffed in to his abdomen.  Please don't Pappy -- they aren't duds either!

Poor Pappy. Knocked on his ass by the force of the double explosion.

And this time his bean sack is broken open.  He doesn't look so good but I think he's still alive.

Upon closer inspection it seems that Pappy has completely blown open.

But being the good sport that he is, Pappy sat back up to watch the rest of the fireworks show.

Oops. He seems to have been blow over again. God Damn you Pappy!

Big Dan helps Pappy sit back up.

Pappy has started losing his beans!

Those damn kids seem to be shooting exploding bottle rockets at Pappy. He's been hit!

Pappy is on Fire!  Oh Pappy! Oh Pappy!  Don't die old bird!

Pappy's guts have exploded and started to liquify. I'm sorry to say it's the end for Pappy.
