Cemeteries in Platte County, Wyoming

The cemeteries included in this index at this time are: Guernsey, Hartville, Dwyer Cemeteries.

Information from the headstones and mortuary markers, several obituaries. Many headstones are for husband and wife (in some cases one of the spouses may still be living). We’ve recorded all information available. At times the only information listed is birth year and death year. If a cemetery was large we drew a map, setting it up in sections. I will send a copy of the map indicating in which section your ancestor is buried. If you plan to visit the cemetery maybe it would be helpful in locating the gravesite. Some of the individuals listed may not be buried in the cemetery as we found many” in memory of” headstones – some which showed that that individual died in military action and are buried overseas.

% sign beside the name means we have paper copy of the obituary.

^ sign means we have typed copy of the obituary.

@ sign beside the name means one date only on the headstone.
