You are running. Running running running. On flat ground with nothing around you but desert sand and the sound of wings flapping and the sound of the ocean. You can't see the wings OR the ocean, so you keep on running. Running running. You finally reach a cliff. You wonder how you are ever going to be able to get down there. All of a suddon, you fall through what you though was solid rock. You land on your botton and look up from where you fell. The hole begins to cover over, as if you never passed through.
You find yourself in the middle of a long narrow, very very colorful tunnel. You decide to follow it. Crawling, crawling. As you turn a corner, you see a light up ahead. As you get closer, you hear the sound of rushing water. You crawl a little further, and find yourself in a large cave.
What surprises you is that there is a beautiful waterfall in the back, falling into a large lagoon! Around the caves hanging on the walls are lanterns. Its beautiful!! All of a suddon, someone, somewhere laughs. "Wh-who's there??" You ask. "My name is Lady Katie. I m the guardian of all Dragons." "Where are you?" You ask. "Right behind you!"
"Hello, my name is Sapphire. I am the owner of this cave. I know you probably don't know what you are doing here, but I do. You are here to apply to impress a dragon!! The creator of this page found me in this very cave a few years ago and asked me to guard it from anything evil." You ask "Doesn't it get a little boring in here, you know, no one to talk to and such!" With that, a little fairie flies out from behid Sapphire. "I am Mary." She says in a small voice. "I keep Sapphire company. It can get very boring in here."
You look behind Lady Katie and Mary and notice a bright light coming from a small opening in the cave's wall. As you walk a little closer, you see grass and a BEAUTIFUL veiw of a beach! "Whats in there?" you ask. "Those are the hatching sands. They tell you how many eggs are availiable for adoption. I guarantee there will be some unless there is a sign in here saying that the adoption agency is closed for a few days. In that case, that cave is un accesable. :) But thats not the case today! There are eggs availiable for adoption." You notice that the beautiful girl and the tiny fairies are staring at you. "I know you want to go apply for adopting a dragon, but first you need to hear the rules and the story. I am going to tell you the story first." You sit on the ground and get comfortable.
"A long long time ago, in the land of Gatheroth, a little girl was walking along the side of the beach when she noticed a lump in the ground. She very carefully uncovered it and discovered about 20 eggs. She looked around for ay trace of what could have layed them. She stood up and noticed a very large lump in the sand. She slowly uncovered a portion of it. It was a dragon. It had bruises all over it's body. They looked like stones made the injuries. The young girl remembered some of her friends found a huge lizard and threw a bunch of rocks at it. Little did they know, it wasn't a lizard, but a dragon."
"The girl took off her jacket and bundled up the eggs into it. She slowly walked home. When she got there, she told her family of her find. Her mother helped her bring in some sand to lay by the fire. They found a bit shallow pot and layed some coals on the bottom. Then they covered the coals with sand. when they were almost to the top, they put in the 20 some eggs. Then they coved them with more sand. The girls mother told her that she was in charge of the eggs. She had to turn them every so often so that the heat would be distributed evenly. The girl knew that the eggs were not that of a chicken (as her mother thought), but of dragons. The girl watched over the eggs carefully. One morning, she was turning the eggs when she noticed a crack in about half of them. She woke her family and they all watched as the dragons hatched one by one. Expecting them to fly off and attack the first thing they saw, the family hid in various places in the house. The litte girl hid under her bed. All of a suddon she heard a fluttering of wings. A small purple, blue and green dragon appeared at the end of her bed. She came out and the purple queen sat on her shoulder. The others just followed her around her room. The raced downstairs and told her mother and father that they were not bad. The mother and father had a blue, red, green and a yellow dragon by their sizes as well. They all walked back to the pot and as the last dragons hatched, they had about 24 dragons sitting on their laps."
"As the days went by, the queen purple dragon never left the girl's side. The other dragons were never far away, but the only purple dragon stayed on the girls shoulder. The Dragons helped out with the families chores and brought them many happy moments. Their neighbors heard of all of this and came over to see them. One day, the girl notices how the purple Queen bossed all of the other dragons around. The bravest ones, the two blue's always were running or flying around in circles, trying to impress the purple. When the reds, greens and yellows tried this, the purple ignored them. One day, the first since the hatching, the purple queen left the girl's side. She notices one of the blues was gone as well. She looked out her window and saw them flying around. They were mating! The purple came back and sat on the pot and layed 18 eggs. The neighboors' neighboors neighboors hear about this and they all asked for an egg. From then on, almost every household in Gatheroth had a dragon."
"There!Thats the story. As you probably picked up, the dragons weren't very big. Well. Now that the story is done, its time for the rules." You look around and see a curtain covering a portion of the wall. As Lady Katie pulls the string, a list of rules appear on a scroll. Here they are:
RULES
1. You must not change the graphics in any way!!
2. You MUST have a link back to this page on your homepage.
3. You MUST have a homepage! The dragons don't like the cold, dark hardrives. The dragon doesn't have to be alone on his page.
4. The site must be atleast PG rated. That means no swearing, no nudity, no violence, no porn!
5. YOU MUST ADD YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS TO THE LIST BOT!!!!!!
