Wow, so much to tell! The Nationals were so exciting! The top 12 gymnasts that placed are going to the Olympic Trials. Amazingly, 5 of the 7 Magnificent Seven have come out of retirement, and are going for the gold. Amy Chow, Dominique Moceanu, and Dominique Dawes all placed in the top 12. Shannon Miller, and Jaycie Phelps, are both petitioned to the Olympic Trials. The big news though, is not of the Mag 7. Elise Ray, had the meet of her life. Throughout the meet she was mostly the leader, with Kristen Maloney trailing closely behind. She sparkled on bars, unleashing a brand new move that is sure to be talked about in Sydney.
