Justin's Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe Homepage

Hello and welcome to my little site here. I put this up back in 1998 and slowly updated it over the years. As you can tell, it's about my beloved 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. Probably one of the most well known ones on the internet by now.

A little history. My parents special ordered this thing fully loaded minus t-tops in late 1986 when I was 6 years old. After only 2 weeks in, my father cut an inch or so off the front springs to get rid of the factory excessive front end height. It sat perfect. In May of 1998, I had the honor of taking ownership of her for a very small fee. No, not free. I took insanely well care of it. Washed almost every day, polished almost every weekend, never drilled a single hole, cut a single wire, nothing. But still, I installed a very clean sounding system in it with a Clarion pro-audio deck, JL Audio VR 6x9's, alpine fronts, and a crossfire 50x2 rear amp. Along with that, I put on some Firestone Firehawk SS10 stock size in front and 255's in back. It was just stunning. Having grown up with this car nearly all my life, I've grown very attached to it and will probably be my coffin at death.

On June 13, 1999, the main power lead somehow came loose from the starter and caught fire. Being a sunday just before noon, firefighters had to be called in from home and didn't arrive til after 23 minutes, even having the station 3 blocks up the street. Needless to say, it is a complete loss and not much left.

The car has been sitting nearly untouched in storage for a decade now, and it is my intention to not waste any more time waiting. One way or another, something will come of the car, and I truly hope it cooperates with me. I don't expect to be done with it before I'm 50, though.

Thank you for visiting my site and check back for updates in the future.
