What is Christ Renew His Parish?

The "Christ Renews His Parish" (CRHP) program centers around the renewal weekend, stressing a clear focus on the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes continued growth in Christian life in our daily contacts with others. The weekend also offers an opportunity to meet other people in our parish.

What happens during the weekend ?
The weekend is an opportunity to hear and discuss how Catholics function in our modern, fast-paced society. It provides an opportunity for individual spiritual growth through prayer and personal reflection. You'll share conversation and thoughts (as much or as little as each desires) with others in the parish .

Who may attend ?
CRHP is open to all adult parishioners 18 years and older of Holy Family Church.

How long does the weekend last?
The weekend begins on Saturday at 8:00 AM and ends approximately 3:00 PM on Sunday.

What about Sacraments ?
Mass will be celebrated on Saturday and Sunday. The opportunity for Reconciliation (Confession) will be provided also.

Where do I sleep ?
Sleeping arrangements are provided in the school. Showers are available for those who wish to use them. Bring your sleeping bag, pillow or other bedding along with a towel, soap, and any toiletires you may need. We provide the rest.

What about meals ?
Meals are provided with ample breaks for drinks and snacks. Please let us know when you sign up if you have any special dietary needs and we'll be glad to make arrangements to accomodate.

What clothes should I bring ?
Casual and comfortable clothing is appropriate for the entire weekend.

Who conducts the weekend ?
Members of the parish who have previously attended a CRHP weekend and have volunteered to return will be presenting the weekend. (You are not obligated to become a team member when you attend.)

Who will invite me ?
Everyone over age 18 in the parish is invited! You will hear about CRHP through public announcements at Mass, through the parish bulletin and paper, or by someone in the parish who knows you. Individual invitations may also be made by the Invitation Coordinator, provided they have your name submitted to them by someone who thinks you may be interested in attending.

If you desire to strengthen your spiritual life, make a commitment to your faith, or renew your previous commitment, then take this opportunity to attend a weekend.
