Brothers in Arms

The sequel to The Soulforge

Raistlin' story continues in the sequel      Margeret Weis continues to tell the tale of Raistlin's youth. In this sequel to her novel, The Soulforge, she tells the tale of Raistlin and Caramon from the point where the Soulforge left off.

In this novel, Caramon and Raistlin serve in the army of a Baron, and hone their skills as warrior and war mage. Their spirits and their minds are tempered as much as their bodies in the service of the Baron. And while they are being tempered, and forging their futures, their half-sister, Kitiara Uth Matar, begins to walk upon her path in life, and begins her rise to power as a Dragon Highlord.

This sequel is every bit as good as its predecessor, and fans of Dragonlance will enjoy this novel as much as any of the others. Fans of Raistlin will probably enjoy it even more, as Raistlin learns more about himself, and begins to grow inside, even as he learns how to better control his magic.

The cover price on the book is $6.99, and I found it to be worth every penny I spent, and more, being a fan of Raistlin myself, and an admirer of Lord Soth and Kitiara. (Note: Lord Soth does not put in an appearance in this story.)
