Once upon a time, long, long ago, in a faraway land called Saskatchewan, there lived two sets of brothers who shared an interest in music. Their names were John & Todd Kerns and Kurt & Ryan Dahle.
The brothers Kerns and Dahle got together in April of 1989, and formed a band called, "Electric", a name which they later changed to "The Age of Electric". Collectively, they put out two EPs called, "Electric", and "Ugly" and three CDs called, "The Latest Plague", "The Age of Electric", and "Make a Pest a Pet".
At the point of the release of "MAPAP", the brothers had already left their homeland of Saskatchewan, travelled through the rocky passages of Alberta, and came upon the greener pastures of British Columbia (although their roots are still firmly planted in the fertile soils of Lanigan and Regina, Sask.)
Modern story-tellers insist that the AOE gained a manic following after their participation in the 1997 Edgefest tour, but there are those townsfolk in western Canada who insist that this is not so. They conform to the belief that the AOE have always had a big following, and that the easterners were just too self-involved to notice this certain fun-loving band!
Whatever the case may be, east and west have learned to live happily ever after in peace and AOE harmony (along with pounding drums, screetching guitars, and howling vocals!)
