transitions. These are words/phrases that link ideas between sentences/paragraphs. Prefer one-word transitions. Write likewise but not in the same way. Avoid redundant transitions: needless to say; in other words; it may be mentioned that...

transpire. Means what came to be known not happen/occur. Use with care.
