When I was 13 years old, two brothers came to my school in the middle of the year. We became good friends very quickly. They lived right around the corner from me so everyday after school, I was always at their house. One afternoon, I walked to their house and they were getting ready to leave with some other friends. They said they were going bike riding. As the oldest brother had said good bye, he did something he had never done before. He hugged me and kissed my forhead. After that, I had the weirdest feeling that something wasnt right or something was going to happen but i just ignored it.
The next morning on the bus, the driver and a few other kids were talking about 2 boys that had drowned the night before. When I heard that...those strange feelings came back so fast. It had been my best friends. They were gone, not just one but both of them. That day, the little 13 year old girl I was the day before, was gone. That day changed my whole life.
All I kept thinking and crying was that there were so many things I didn't say to them because I was too shy to. I would talk to them at night just so I could sleep. Then one night I just really broke down. I begged and begged god to please just let me see them one more time.. just let me say all those things I never said. I had opened my eyes from crying and floating about 10 inches above me I saw my 2 best friends. They were almost like floating clouds, only transparent. But their faces were so plain. In all of about 20 seconds they were gone. But I knew and felt in my heart that all those things I never said.....they already knew.
I'm 27 years old now and it was a long time
ago, but I still feel the pain from losing
them just like it was yesterday. But I know
they know I love them, that they are always
in my heart, and they are always with me
where ever I go.
The boys names were Michael and Jerry. All
this happened in VA.
