Vincent has been a part of the aeromodelling world for many years, mostly being involved in sacle gliders. But even he will confess that he used to get his hands oily. This first picture shows a freeflight Cessna he entered in the British Nationals in 1966. I'm not sure if the photo is 100% authentic, and if it isn't, then its a great bit of technical wizardry getting that bolt of lightning in the photo.
See what I mean. Vincent is also the webmaster of the Southampton Soaring Society Website. It is known all around the world as one of the biggest and most informative sites about large scale gliders. A link to this fantastic site as at the bottom of this page, and also on our links page.
Anyway, Vincent's modelling life these days is building and flying gliders. They are superb, being immaculately built, and have flying qualities to match. I have flown one of his modern gliders, and I think it is one of the smoothest, calming and relaxing aircraft I've ever flown (apart from Simon Lovell's first Kwatz....Not). So sit back, relax, and chexk out some of these works of art.
