Nexus 30.

Peter is the newest club member who has decided to start off with helicopters. After just a few weeks and a few incidents he has mastered hovering

The main incident (see above) that he has encountered was while he was learining to hover in his garden. The heli got underneath the handles of a wheelbarrow and instead of puuting it down and going to move it, he forgot about the wheelbarrow and the 2 collided! Ouch! After inspecting the mess only the rotors had been damaged but one of them was "fixable", as long as he cut a diagonal 2" off the tip. He then had to find another blade which he "aquired" from an "unknown" source. After balancing the rotors after their "modifications" he started hovering it again and now it seems ok.

24/06/2001...After much more hovering and moving it around nice and gently is has come to our attention that the build-quality of the Nexus isnt quite what it used to be. After at least one main gear, 2 clutches, and the entire starter shaft breaking, nothing could really be done except for buying a new chopper. So Peter bought one of those TT Raptors. Not only is it alot steadier in the hover and more agile, it is actually easier to fly, just ask Tim Prevel. So, if you want to learn to fly helis, get a cheap Nexus or a reliable Raptor, depending on how keen you are.
