The Nexus 30 is one of the best cheap helis on the market. The cost of the kit with an MDS 38 can be as low as £160! It also flies fairly well (it taught me), which for the price, can't be bad. It is primarily a trainer but will loop (just), stall turn, fly inverted (supposedly) and roll (even more supposedly), not that this one has done all of those (because it hasn't). The person flying it in the picture is not Mick, it is me, you see, I am slowly learning to fly helicopters although I haven't flown it for a while. If anyone out there is thinking of taking up model helis, then this is the heli to get. Except that they are not as reliable as they used to be. This is one of the first Nexus', whereas Peter Carre's is a much newer kit and is far from reliable. Another good trainer heli which you can even buy in ARTF form is the TT Raptor which flies superbly. Buy either.
The photo above shows me concentrating on keeping the Nexus steady after bringing it back to the hover after flying it around in circuits (getting back to the hover is the hardest thing to learn, so I am told).
