Misty.

Misty is Pat's newest plane. It is an own-designed aircraft with F3A aerobatics in mind. It has a lenght and a wingspan of just under 2 metres and weighs just over 11 lbs. It has a 32cc converted chainsaw engine in the front and it is running on normal glow fuel as opposed to petrol. This plane flies very smoothly and easily and is so stable it is almost boring to fly. Until the engine stops, that is. You see, at the time of writing this, I think it has landed once with the engine running. That's in 10 flights. And, in one afternoon, with 4 flights (with me flying it for one) it landed on the runway ONCE! Mind you, it was in a force 5 wind.

This plane was a first for Pat. It was the first time he had designed and constucted his own fiberglass fuselage. It was a great success. The wings are foam core with balsa skin on top. The tailplane and rudder are from balsa.
