Lasher.

One day Nick Vining felt like building a fun-fly, so he said to Pat Vaudin "do you have a wing rib template for a funfly I could borrow?", so Pat said "why not just borrow my whole plane and take templates from it?"

Well ,they both agreed that this would be a good idea so off went Nick with somebody elses plane, preparing in his mind what he would do. It was when he started building it that everybody knew about it and how quickly he was throwing it together. The wing is a blue foam block with a few lightening holes here and there with wooden fuselage and tails. Upfront, power comes from a MVVS 60 motor (a heavy though powerful chunk of metal.

But does it fly? In short yes it does, and with all those colours it really stands out in the air, unless the engine stops and it stops being in the air and being in a quarry instead (pretty much what happened when I was flying low, inverted, virtually on tickover...not a good idea but how was I to know it was low on juice). But all round, it looks nice, flies ok if a little on the heavy side and should provide plenty of fun.

New Update. It has been refurbished after it was badly damaged. Changes include a beefed up fuselage and a new wing. Very brightly coloured it is too.

Does he look happy?...Well, he would if he was a little warmer but what do you expect in the middle of January.
