Herm Flight.
Every one knows this year is the start of the new millenium. So, the GMC decided to come up with some ideas for a club millenium project. After a short time someone came up with the idea of collectively constucting an aircraft then flying it from Guernsey to the nearby island of Herm then flying it back again.
Following a recent committee meeting however, it was decided amongst us that it was realistically too late this year to get the project going to be able to complete for the proposed time. We are now considering waiting until October time to start building a model and not flying it until spring/summer next year. Expect more news here as I get hold of it.
This is a map showing the intended route of the flight at this stage of planning. The route itself, the line shown in red, doubles over on itself, the plane flies the route once on the way to Herm then again on the way back to Guernsey.
