Club 2000.

What a quick little thing this is. It has got to be edging on for 150 mph in a straight line. i know of no other plane which flies like this one. From the moment you let it go, it tries constantly to get out of the pilots sight. It is permanently set on "disappear mode". You have to say Nick looks quite happy with his latest powered toy.

Unfortunately, the radio played up one day, and the plane crashed into bushes. So after a quick inspection of the airframe (not a mark on it), the reciever and crystal were changed. A range check was carried out with no problems at all. So the tank was fuelled up, the motor started and it was carried out to the take off area. The hand launch was successful and away it went. Then, as soon as it reached the end of the runway Nick had no control again and off it went on a mission to head butt Alderney. Then, it went into a gentle left turn and, flat out at about (guessing) 150 mph+ it went straight into the seaat nearly 90 degrees (straight down). The Aircraft wasn't retrieved but a fisherman later told us that he had seen about half a wing and lots of little pieces of foam scattered across the waters surface. One of te quickest planes I have ever seen flown in Guernsye is no more.
